We were in New York City last week to host our friends and colleagues in the publishing industry.

There are great logistical advantages to being located in the middle of America. Being close to the epicenter of the industry we work in is not one of them. And yet, we couldn't do the work we do without the work others do, and most of that work is done in New York City.

So, on January 12th, half of our company was in New York City to host our friends and colleagues in the publishing industry at our annual Business Book Awards and Industry Party. Iris Bohnet's What Works: Gender Equality by Design was named the 800-CEO-READ Business Book of the Year, and Hollis Heimbouch of Harper Business was awarded The Covert Award for Contribution to the Business Book Industry. We held the event at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel, which as you'll be able to glean from the images below, is an absolutely stunning place in a beautiful location.

Thanks to everyone who attended.
