In a new book called "Simple Solution" are a few questions that the authors suggest will help middle managers make an impact and stand out. They state: "Here are some examples to practice asking breakthrough questions. After reading them, formulate at least three breakthrough questions that would initiate radical change in your department.

"Here are some examples to practice asking breakthrough questions. After reading them, formulate at least three breakthrough questions that would initiate radical change in your department. What would have to be true for us to lower production costs for this product by 50 percent? What would have to be true for us to sign up 5,000 new customers next year? What would have to be true for employee turnover to be zero? What would have to be true to produce accurate financial statements within two days of month's end? What would have to be true for customer service to respond to each customer call within three second?
