Dina Kalns has always been an avid outdoor traveler, preferring active, challenging holidays to the more sedentary ones. Moving into a motor coach was a definite departure from her comfort zone but provided the opportunity to document in considerable depth, a lifestyle that many dream about, but few rarely experience. Born and raised near Toronto, albeit with strong Latvian roots, Dispatches from the Doghouse is her first book. She lives in Port Credit with her husband John and their chocolate Labrador Retriever Porter - aka the brown menace.
