Jeffrey Oderman has hiked and backpacked on five continents. Having scaled the peaks of the legal profession, in his early sixties Jeff was ready for a new challenge. Descending into SeaTac Airport on a flight to visit his daughter, he gazed out the window at Mount Rainier, rising majestically above the clouds. "I can climb that mountain," he said to himself. And so began Jeff's somewhat late-in-life effort to learn the skills and discipline of mountain climbing. This journey would take him from Mount Rainier to Ecuador to the high Himalayas, a journey he relates in To Touch the Sky, his debut book.Jeff is a top honors graduate of UCLA (B.A.) and Stanford Law School (J.D.). After a short stint in the Solicitor General's Office in the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and as a clerk for a United States District Court judge in San Francisco, Jeff settled into a long and distinguished career at a large California law firm, where he served for several years as its Managing Partner.
