Lissa Rankin
Author Bio: Lissa Rankin, M.D., is a physician, the New York Times best-selling author of six books, a researcher of the phenomenon of "spontaneous" remission, an expert in the intersection of science and the sacred, and the founder of the Whole Health Medicine Institute, a transformational training program focusing on consciousness and healing for health-care providers and healers. The last seven years, she adventured around the globe researching Sacred Medicine, the follow-up to Mind Over Medicine. This journey down the rabbit hole led her to study with shamans in Peru, Qigong masters from China, Balinese healers, Native American medicine men and women, Hawaiian kahunas, mind-body medicine doctors, and energy healers, trauma therapists, and biofield scientists in her home country. Dr. Rankin's passion for self-healing led to two national public television specials, four TEDx talks that have been viewed over 5 million times, and an online community of people practicing the Six Steps To Healing Yourself at HealingSoulTribe.com. She leads workshops, both online and at retreat centers like Esalen, 1440, Omega, and Kripalu. Her latest philanthropic social justice project, Heal At Last, is committed to eliminating the public health epidemic of loneliness while bringing cutting-edge healing modalities to anyone who feels ready to do this deep inner work, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or gender identity.
