Robin Leigh
Robin Leigh was born in Hampshire, England, in 1940. His father, a thrice-wounded WWI veteran, worked in a factory where Spitfire airplanes were manufactured. One of Robin's fondest childhood memories is climbing into the cockpit of a Spitfire and pretending to fly it. During his service with the British Army, Robin served in Germany, Gibraltar, Libya, Aden, Yemen, Bahrain, Trucial Oman (now the United Arab Emirates), and British Guiana (now Guyana). He has also been a deep-sea diver, commercial fisherman, pilot, flight instructor, and taxi owner/driver. He has published one previous memoir, and some of his adventures were chronicled in an article in the British magazine Diver. Now retired, Robin is seventy-eight years old. He lives with his beloved wife Sandra on Vancouver Island....
