Brian Bies is the founder of Bies Consulting providing advisory and consulting services to independent game developers, as well as chronicling the independent game developer community. Brian's passion for video games began when he picked up a game controller to play Forza Motorsport 2 with his cousin. From an early age, Brian loved video games because of their entertainment value, but he quickly became fascinated by the business of video games, and how the video game industry came to be a $100 Billion business. His first project through Bies Consulting brought him face to face with Ralph Baer, "Father of Video Games" (inventor of the first video game console). From there he started having conversations with innovators and pioneers within the video game industry to learn even more about the medium.
