JENNIFER LIBERTS grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Agoura, California. She has a BA in English Literature from California State University, and an MFA in poetry from Columbia University. She has worked as a children's book editor, an English teacher, and an independent bookseller. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her three book-loving children, and an orange cat named Chuck.
