Miles H Durr

Miles Durr was born in 1928 and a freshman in high school when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. He was admitted to naval flight training in June 1945, but with Japan's surrender his flight program was cancelled. He served as First Officer aboard the anti-sub carrier, PRINCETON. In civilian life, he pursued his love of naval history. Retirement in 1991 provided him time to write A Brand New Navy.
