Porchlight Book Company, a bulk book e-commerce retailer in Milwaukee, WI, is hiring a full-time Digital Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist. This role reports to the Managing Director. The status of this role is full-time, exempt.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a hands-on role for a self-directed digital marketer who wants real ownership. The Digital Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for generating qualified inbound leads for Porchlight’s bulk book sales, corporate gifting, and author programs. This role does not come with a pre-built playbook — you will help create it.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERATE INBOUND SALES LEADS

  • Build and manage campaign-specific landing pages and forms
  • Create clear calls-to-action that invite buyers to proactively connect with our company
  • Ensure clean handoff of leads to Sales

OWN EMAIL MARKETING (INCLUDING NEWSLETTERS)

  • Manage Porchlight’s email ecosystem, including both newsletters and marketing campaigns
  • Turn newsletters into lead-generating assets
  • Segment audiences and test subject lines, CTAs, and cadence
  • Build light nurture sequences for high-intent leads

MAINTAIN PORCHLIGHT’S DIGITAL PRESENCE

  • Improve Porchlight’s visibility and reach across search, email, social media, and the website
  • Maintain and update website content, book pages, metadata, links, and promotional landing pages

LEAD LINKEDIN MARKETING (ORGANIC + PAID)

  • Maintain a consistent, credible LinkedIn presence focused on business use cases
  • Repurpose existing content strategically
  • Run targeted LinkedIn ad campaigns tied to specific offers
  • Drive traffic to landing pages designed to convert interest into conversations

RUN FOCUSED PAID SEARCH EXPERIMENTS

  • Test a small number of high-intent keywords
  • Manage modest budgets responsibly
  • Measure cost per qualified lead

BUILD AND MAINTAIN THE SYSTEM

  • Track what’s working and why
  • Share clear, practical performance summaries
  • Create repeatable processes that support Sales and future growth

WHO IS THIS JOB FOR?

This role is a strong fit if you:

  • Have 3–7 years of hands-on digital marketing experience
  • Have personally executed campaigns across email, social, and/or paid channels
  • Want ownership and accountability rather than constant direction
  • Are motivated by building something, not just maintaining activity

COMPENSATION & GROWTH

Salary range: $50,000-$55,000 depending on experience.
Benefits include: 80% of healthcare policy coverage, disability coverage, 401k, and a generous time off policy.
Hours are 8:30-5:00, M-F.
