Karla K. Gower is the Behringer Distinguished Professor in the Advertising and Public Relations Department at the University of Alabama. She has served as director of The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations since 2008. Gower is the author of four books, including Public Relations and thePress: The Troubled Embrace.
