About Marylee MacDonald

Marylee MacDonald is a former carpenter with a Master's in Creative Writing from San Francisco State and a Certificate in Novel Writing from Stanford University. Her novel, MONTPELIER TOMORROW, won the Gold Medal for Drama from the Readers' Favorites International Award competition. The short stories in BONDS OF LOVE & BLOOD have won the the Barry Hannah Prize, the ALR Fiction Prize, Matt Clark Prize, the Ron Rash Award, the Jeanne M. Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award, and an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship. Her stories have appeared in American Literary Review, Bellevue Literary Review, Blue Moon Literary & Art Review, Broad River Review, Folio, New Delta Review, North Atlantic Review, Raven Chronicles, River Oak Review, Ruminate, StoryQuarterly, Superstition Review, The Briarcliff Review, The Chattahoochee Review, Yalobusha Review, and others. She lives in Tempe, AZ.
