I've been following the Freakonomics blog a lot lately (and they just suggested another economist's blog). Today, Stephen Dubner explained how Freakonomics came to be. Back in 2003 Hugo Lindgren, an editor for New York magazine, asked Dubner to profile Steve Levitt.

I've been following the Freakonomics blog a lot lately (and they just suggested another economist's blog). Today, Stephen Dubner explained how Freakonomics came to be. Back in 2003 Hugo Lindgren, an editor for New York magazine, asked Dubner to profile Steve Levitt. A reluctant Dubner accepted the assignment, met Levitt and profiled him. Lucky for us, Dubner ignored Hugo's bit of advice on having a co-author or Freakonomics may have never existed.
